| Wow - later on in high school I had no idea they were in my classes!! Don't feel bad about the outfit, I'm like an extra from the Heidi set in first grade.... and it's taken years of therapy to get over the one in 2nd grade! :) In that pic I remember just about everyone...Mrs. Chiuchiolo retired a couple of years ago and came to visit my class - I loved her!! | |||

| I remember a lot of the people in the first grade picture. Bobby Perino, Alfred Quatrone, Johnny Ortiz, John Coupe, Eric Weeks, Greg Wittneben, Lisa Grant, Erin Murphy, Tim Kelly, Tricia Volkman, Robert Cushing, Marlo Mancusi, Paula Colon, Adreinne Allison, Vicki Booth and Shannon Kaler and Kim. I am dressed in the same outfit as the year before... I love my mom!! | |||

Donald, I know what you are saying but remember a lot of this comes from home...teachers hands are often tied when it comes to discussing these things. At any rate the school is having a press conference today. On a separate note, I posted two more pics - 1st grade from Bay Ave and 2nd grade from Canaan. I'm trying to place faces in the 1st grade shot. Not a good year for me and I was not a fan of Mrs. Fenz.... |

Let me correct myself here before I get responses that are harsh. I was NOT implying that teachers were promoting hate, but would like to know if there the school has a plan to discuss what happened and promote diversity. |

I just saw on Yahoo! news of PMHS students assaulting minorities in Patchogue and Medford and I have to say that i'm disgusted by it. What are the teachers in the school doing to promote diversity instead of hate? |

I don't know where Olga is but I do know her parents are still there (they are at the end of my block) so when i take my son or dog for a walk I tend to always remember that day. Thank you Lisa! I guess i was having a bad hair day for pictures. On a side note, many of you may not know but many of the PM schools have gone under large construction changes recently. Canaan was one of them. But imagine my surprise when just last week when I had to go to my 1st grade daughters Back to School night and her 1st grade class was mine. |

A number of people have signed up to Facebook but if you don't already know about it, it's another social network and another way to keep in touch with friends. It's also a great way to find out about some spontaneous happy hours and get togethers. If you create an account, join the PMHS '88 group. |

First of all, I would like to thank you Donald for your services for this beautiful country of ours. Those of you who know me well enough, know I also served this country of ours in Vietnam. I would also like to say Donald, maybe you should loosen up just a little bit. I was just having a little fun with my good friend and colleague Mr. Chaskin. I think everyone would agree, that if we had a little sense of humor, this world would be a better place. Now drop and give me 20! Coach Grimm outta heeeere P.S. Listen here, Mr Chaskin (self-proclaimed tennis god). I don't think anyone remembers you. But just to let everyone know, Mr Chaskin was a hippie science teacher and tennis coach at South Ocean Middle School. After reading your 2 posts, I think you been smokin to much of something with Mr Ricca. You should put that old middle school yearbook away, that pain in your elbow isn't from tennis. We all know that the best sport in school was High School baseball. In fact, even though I'm retired, I still wear my blue coaches pants everyday. And yes, they are still 10 inches to short. Oh and last but not least, let's not make fun of Eddie Felice at the icebreaker. He was my favorite catcher ( on the varsity baseball team). And he can catch my balls anytime. Nice work everyone to bring this poor soul a check up from the neck up and finally apologizing. It must have been a good game of Tennis that cleared your head. Now your apology was an ace serve, everyone would let through. Advantage truly sorry. I think you should of just have had a few more drinks and you would have had a better time. Now take a look at Edward Felice who was one of the 1st to arrive at the mixer and had such a good time he has no recollection of grabbing my ass. Twice. Thanks anyway Eddy, but thats not the kind of doubles match I was looking for, and not that there is anything wrong with that. Nice work everyone you guys can play on my court any day. Chaskin out. |

You are forgiven already :) I really do wish that you had had a better time than you did, but we were not in charge of your good time. We can not erase the past, so there's no use trying. 20 years is a very long time, and I truly believe that the majority of us are extremely nice people living happy and fulfilling lives with our wonderful families. The Reunion was about reconnecting with those that we had spent more than half our lives with. My very best friends are still my friends from elementary, middle school and even high school, and so are my husbands. I am very grateful to have these "Forever Friends" in my life and wish you friendships of the same caliber. Your comments did hurt my feelings and I lashed out at you, and for that I apologize. The majority of people had a terrific time, and that is good enough for me. The Reunion Committee is looking into doing something again, hopefully soon, and if you'd like to try it again, you're more than welcome. And this time, my husband I would actually like to meet you. Take Care. |

To Jeannine, Pam, Theresa, Lisa, Shauna, Tami and Chrissy I think you are all wonderful for giving of your time and talents and without you our class would not have had a great weekend or any reunion weekend! Plus for those of us that really wanted to be there, but just couldn’t for whatever the reason the website is awesome! I was not there but I can just tell from photos other people choose to post and the comments in the guest book that everyone that tried to have a great time did. It amazes me at how volunteers work so hard and accomplish such great and amazing things don't ask for anything in return! It is sad that people who don’t volunteer, don’t make suggestions, don’t even have enough balls to use their correct name are so fast to make quick and crude comments. To “do yuo really care” I am sad for you that you had a rough life and had to make hard choices, but everyone is giving their crosses to bare and each have a choice at how gracefully they carry that cross. I really am sad to see who wrote the comments and must suggest you cut and paste next time you want to hide your identity and use spell check. There is only one classmate that has type “Yuo” over and over again. I don’t know why you choose to write what you did, but for the people who volunteered to make this weekend happen for you, it was rude and hurtful. You even stated you had a nice time at the reunion and connected with friends, but you chose to be negative and make a big deal about a slide show. There is more to life then just the little petty things and I hope you can learn that before it is too late. If you go through life feeling like no one likes you-no one is going to like you! I loved HS and I loved the 10 year reunion so maybe I’m the wrong one to write this, but to “do yuo really care” if you have a complaint and follow it by an intelligent solution people might listen, but to write what you wrote is just harsh and explains why you had a poor HS and reunion experience. I hope you don’t pass that attitude on to your child or any of your loved ones because that is a life wasted. And if you pull your head out of your ass like Lynn suggested you might just see what a blessing our Class of 88 really is!!! Jeannine and Lynn you two are kick ass. Never stop being you!!! And Jennifer Pauzolis you and I could help Jeannine save some money on postage because "do yuo really care" has written they will go to the 25th and that is sad to me! They don't deserve to go! Jennifer you are still a smart women :0) To the committee, don’t listen to resentful jerks like “do yuo really care” you all did awesome just listen to everyone else! Thanks for all you did and are still doing to keep the website going!!! |

I loved looking at the photos of everybody. I agree, WE NEED NAMES UNDER THEM! Some of you still looked the same, Anthony Gladden, Maryann Nolan, Arnold Pascucci, etc. I had looked forward to attending, but traveling halfway across the country with an infant would have been too rough. By the 25th, William (our child) will be old enough to travel well. As for "do yuo really care" did you even attend any English classes? Ms. Tice or Mr. Quinn would have taken you outside and shot you! Your command of the English language puts illegal immigrants to shame. I knew children in Bosnia who could spell better! Please, before you make another post, learn to spell or have some five-year old write the message while you dictate it to him. I'm sure the message will be more coherent. Personally, after reviewing some of the posts and the structure and grammatical errors, I can see a correlation with whom it might have been. (No capitals in either post, repeated use of ellipses aka "dot dot dot") If you had a miserable time, then you should have left early or given a few suggestions. High school was rough for me, as it was for many people, but I still wish I could have gone to the reunion. I have put the past behind me, married a wonderful man, and we have a beautiful child. I cannot change what was, but I can change the present. Let it go! Grow up! It was TWENTY YEARS AGO!! So what? Your photo was not used. If you had a scowl on your face and acted like you were attending your own execution, I can see why your photo was not taken. Don't bother attending the 25th, I'm sure it will be the same (in your eyes) so save your tablemates a lot of grief and stay home, pouting. To the committee: It looks wonderful, and I wish I had been able to attend; it looks like I missed out on a lot of fun. I shall be at the 25th, so please keep us informed!! My hubby says the clown who wrote that post was probably drunk, so disregard it. He's a maggot, no wonder his/her girlfriend stood him/her up. She probably got picked up by the dogcatcher for not having a collar on, as I doubt any human would be seen with him/her. Congratulations on a job very well done!! |

In regards to the comment made by, “do yuo really care” dated Sunday, July 20, 2008. It is a shame that you did not have a good time, but on the other hand you were given the opportunity to attend the event. Some of us were not that fortunate to attend because of business related traveling. Although I was on the other side of the country, I would have loved to attend the event. Notice the key word of opportunity. Granted life is not fair across the board, people have established from different social norms, economical situations, etc… and it is only up to us to decide and chose what and where we are going in life. I truly feel that we collectively were blessed to have our adolescent years and experience growing up on Long Island as a gift. Being in the military for over 20+ years and traveling to different countries and many different parts of United States provided a more accurate understanding of life. If the only thing we are worried about is our social groups, then we really didn’t have it that bad. I do remember the Patchogue-Medford High School environment as well; many of us have also seen what you referring to as these social groups. The next question is do we remain full of resentment for the rest of our lives or do we move on? The only person that you have to to make happy in life, is yourself. For the committee, Very Respectfully, |

You're right, Jeannine, there are many other things you could have been doing, but you all spent your time making something great for us! As far as the "anonymous" commenter...get over it! Let go of whatever you've obviously been hanging on to for way too long. I saw MANY people having a fantastic time with old friends, as well as new friends... those who never even crossed paths in high school who have left all that silliness behind...unlike yourself. Next time, don't complain and offer to help, otherwise, just say "thank you". Great night! Thanks again!

hey everyone. It was truly a blast seeing everyone. I am so proud to say that I graduated with all of you. In a world where things are so hectic and life is constantly moving at a fast pace, it was so great that we were all able to slow down and take a few hours to reconnect. After the weekend, I stopped and asked myself how I could let so much time pass bye without staying in touch with most of you. I really want to say thanks for ALL of the hard work the Reunion Committe devoted to us to make this event a success. From choosing a beautiful location, to the planning of the website, booking the DJ, the pictures, the bags and CDs plus the great way you pulled us all back together for a great time, you did it all, and don't think it went unnoticed. I have to say in all honesty that I had a blast. I didn't consider myself "popular" in High School but people did know me and I loved the reaction from everyone who knew me in High School and saw how different I am now compared to what I was like in High School. If this was all about popularity I have to say that I would not have been recognized by the committee for travelling the farthest to be there and they did. Having people come up to me and thank me for my service to our country is a true compliment and very far from being a put down. There were several people that I didn't know in High School that I have made new friendships with. It was a great night and even though I wasn't in any of the slideshow I enjoyed looking back at those that were in there as there were those in that slide show that were not at the reunion. In my 18 years experience in the Navy I tell my Sailors that if you have an idea then speak up. If you don't and you don't like the way an activity occurred until after the fact you have only yourself to blame for not taking part in it. I specifically remember the committee did ask for input and did not get any so don't complain after the fact as the opportunity was afforded to everyone. So, if you didn't like it, there is always the 30th. If you didn't like the 20th don't bitch about it; do something about it. Be a committee member or give them ideas. That's my opinion. You wanted to hear everyone's opinion so now you got it. |

I don't think popularity comes into play at 38 years old. If anything, I think this reunion brought us together no matter who you hung out with in high school. We all shared a common experience... | To: Do you you really care. From: Jeannine (Caprera) Bowden -- About you, honestly - no, I don't! The only reason I'm even responding to your ridiculous comments is because I was on the Reunion Committee, and they seem to be directed towards myself and my friends - which is totally unacceptable to me. This reunion took an entire year to plan. It was a lot of work and it took a great deal of time -- time we could have spent with our families or doing just about anything else - but no, we choose to do something nice for our "old friends." And you know what - it was nice! Regardless of what you think, it was awesome! It is you who should grow up and move on! It seems as though for the past 20 years you've been harboring some deep resentment towards your high school years -- what a complete waste of 20 years! And those 25 people you keep referring to -- it was their camera - they choose to share their picutres with everyone - and we loved seeing them - they're a riot! As far as the pictures shown at the reunion - the ones taken that night - a professional photographer took those photos. They had no idea who the "popular" people were - as you put it! If you felt too insecure about yourself to ask them to take your picture - that's your problem. Seek therapy - it might help! As far as the slide show - you need to get over it -- that was the same slide show played at our ring dance and 10 year reunion. You can't erase the past. Maybe you should have joined that club - you could have taken the pictures and maybe even had a few taken of yourself! I wasn't in one photo and I'm not whining. And since it's honesty you're looking for -- I'd ask for the same thing in return - let me know who you are so that I can save my .42 cents on your invitation to the next reunion. You will most definitely not be invited - you've officially been cut from the list! p.s. I can see now why your girlfriend did not show! Thank you to Lynn for sticking up for us. Now that's class!

Hey "do yuo really care" stop being a clown and use whatever English lessons you remember from your High School days. My 11 year old niece sends out more coherent thoughts in her text messages than your gibberish post. And I love your request for “id love to see soem honesty from the one who share my opinion..thanks for such a wonderful reunion” so the only honest opinion is one that agrees with your point of view? Stay home, with your attitude I doubt anyone would miss your presence at future reunions. | well seems like nothing has changed....even when it cam edown to who was in the front line..it seemed to me that more then 25 plp showed up,but those 35 where the only ones who seemed to be in every picture..even the slide show was shame ful..i rmember alot more plp there.....its a shame that it means being popular to be part of an event .....i thought by now yuo would of all grown up....what a shame...and the slide show..how about a memoriam for those who have past....i guess frost vally was and the football players was to damm important.....the thing is im not even suprised at how it all turnede ut..im wondring if anybody feels like this or yuor still letting them pick on yuo and put yuo down..i did enjoy myself and met some wonderful plp who i wished id gotten to know 20 some years ago...sorry to be so negative ,but im sitting here looking at those pictures..my girlfriend who did not show..told me ,,why are there so many pictures of the same 25 plp......i do noy intend to go to any more reunions.....welll maybe hopefully ,yuoll show soem respect to yuor classmates who could not be there, and for those who could........id love to see soem honesty from the one who share my opinion..thanks for such a wonderful reunion

Thanks to Jeanine, Theresa, Lisa, Shanna, Chrissy, Tammy, and Heather for a great 20th reunion. I made it back to Japan safe and sound and returned to tons of e-mail, paperwork, mail, and a house full of mold and mildew waiting for me so i'll be busy until the 25th reunion getting caught up again. It was great seeing old friends and meeting new friends. The bottle of chardonnay made it through the luggage safe and sound and looking forward to drinking it. |

Looks like the reunion was alot of fun. Was unable to attend, but everyone looked great. Just had my fifth baby in March, my eldest daughter turns 16 in 10 days. I live in Oregon, I graduated nursing school and I am working as a cardiac nurse, which I love. My husband and I have been together since 1997, we bought a new house this year and life is good. Would love to hear from some old friends, especially Steven Cress... it was neat to see you in the pics. Hope everyone remains happy & prosperous. |

I was supposed to be dropping off my daughter at the National Young Scholars Program and instead I am staying home with her while she is fighting Diabetes. Alexa was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes(Juvenile Diabetes) on July 1st, 2008. We are involved in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and are Walking for a Cure on October 26th, 2008 at the College of Staten Island. If any of you can donate to help us find a cure it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and I hope you all had a great time at the reunion. | I must have amnesia. I refer to the year book like a dictionary these days. But I think if we all wear our prom dresses, fix our hair as big as possible from the front (with complete disregard to the back of the head) to the reunion it might all come flooding back. And guys- start growing that bi-level hair cut, throw on some high tops with your Raider shirts and I think things will start looking a bit more familiar to everyone. And just out of curiosity- how did we not see back then that George Michael was gay? (not that there is anything wrong with it, I'm just asking). Looking forward to seeing everyone!
